The research activity, in the field of the smart grids, deals with the study of power distribution networks of residential and industrial prosumers with distributed generation systems (conventional and renewable) and storage units. The activity is focused on the development of optimization models for energy management system of micro-grids (local energy community) and its laboratory validation. The models also include the stochastic analysis and distributed procedures (ADMM) for the day-ahead and intraday (real time) optimizations.
Cooperation on the project “PODCAST – Piattaforma di ottimizzazione della distribuzione tramite uso di dati da contatori elettronici e sistemi di accumulo distribuito”, with partners (Softeco, Amaie, Univ. of Genova, SDI Automazione industriale, Toshiba, Univ. of Bologna), a project funded by the Ministry of the Economic Development.
Collaboration on the project NEST Spoke7, PRIN 2022 (Establishment and functioning of renewable energy communities: legal profiles, economic viability, technical-engineering feasibility), Urban Digital Twin (energy sector).
