Education, training and qualifications
Ph.D. in Biomedical, Electrical and Systems Engineering (IBES), cycle XXXI, at the Department of Electrical, Electronic and Information Engineering "Guglielmo Marconi", University of Bologna. Thesis on smart grids and energy communities: "Energy Management Systems of Microgrids".
Degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Bologna, thesis on high-temperature superconductors.
Member of "Ordine degli Ingegneri di Rimini". Technical consultant at Rimini court.
Qualified as "Innovation Manager" Industry 4.0 - Ministry of the Economic Development (MiSE).
He is currently a researcher in the Electrical Power Systems group of the University of Bologna.
Research and Teaching activities
The research activity in the field of the smart grids deals with the study of power distribution networks of residential and industrial prosumers with distributed generation systems (conventional and renewable) and storage units. The activity is focused on the development of optimization models for energy management system of micro-grids (energy communities) and its laboratory validation. The models also include stochastic analysis and distributed procedures for the day-ahead and intraday (real time) optimizations.
