Mattia Trenta graduated in Biological Sciences at the University of Bologna in 2000. He obtained a Master's degree in Sustainable Development and Management of Agro-Environmental Systems at the same university in 2005.
From 2001 to 2018 he collaborated with several institutions as a trainer in environmental education, as a technical collaborator of biological and integrated control of the tiger mosquito A. albopictus at Centro Agricoltura Ambiente "Giorgio Nicoli", and as a professional consultant in the field of environmental monitoring on behalf of public bodies and private companies.
From 2018 to 2020 he collaborated with the Department of Agro-food Sciences and Technologies of the University of Bologna for in-depth studies and experimental tests.
From 2020 to 2021 he held a research grant at the Institute for Bioeconomy of the National Research Council, Bologna section.
Since 2022 he has been enrolled in the PhD in Health, Safety and Green Systems at the University of Bologna, in which he spent a period as a visiting researcher at the Technische Universität München.
Since January 2025 he has been a research fellow at the Department of Agri-food Sciences and Technologies, for the performance of activities within the project ““Precision engineered systems for sustainability and resilience in livestock systems”.
