Mattia Trenta is a PhD student in Health, Safety and Green Systems at the University of Bologna, Italy. His PhD research field is the study of vegetation to be used in urban regeneration to increase the resilience of cities, as part of the nature-based solution strategy of adaptation to climate change. He focused his study on the growth and eco-physiological traits of urban plants used for green roofs, a topic related to the effects of urban vegetation on city dwellers in terms of health and well-being, to the improvement of urban sustainability, and to the ecological services provided by urban green, in a strong interdisciplinary framework.
