Valeria Quaglia is a Tenure Track Researcher (RTT) in Sociology at the Department of Education Sciences “G. M. Bertin” at the University of Bologna. She graduated in Sociology in 2015 from the University of Turin and obtained her Ph.D. in Sociology and Social Research Methodology (SOMET) from the University of Turin and the University of Milan in 2019.
She has participated in numerous national and international conferences and is the author of a monograph published by Palgrave Macmillan. She has also published several peer-reviewed journal articles and chapters in collective works.
For the Master's Degree and the Integrated Master’s Degree programs, she teaches Sociology of Education and Sociology of Welfare and Social Policies (University of Bologna).
Her main research interests include the sociology of health and medicine, illness narratives, aging, digital health, health professions, and gender perspectives on health and illness.
