Associate Professor at the University of Bologna since 2022, previously (2019-2022) Assistant Professor at the same institution. Conducts research in the field of intensive care medicine, with a particular interest in the physiopathology, diagnosis, and treatment (including extracorporeal techniques) of acute respiratory failure (ARDS), and mechanical ventilation-induced lung injury (VILI).
Specialist in Anesthesia, Resuscitation, Intensive Care, and Pain Medicine since 2018. Since April 2024 is acting Director of the Department of Anesthesiology and General Intensive Care Unit at the IRCCS Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria di Bologna.
