Associate Professor at the University of Bologna since 2024, she carries out her research in the field of interaction and experience design, design for the enhancement of cultural heritage and territories. Her research interests are directed to the study of expressive modes, languages and processes of interaction and experience construction aimed at cultural fruition. Additional areas of investigation concern the openness of design processes (open design and open manufacturing) and design education.
Education
Graduated in Industrial Product Design in 2012 from the IUAV University of Venice, she received her PhD in Design Science in 2016 from the same university.
Academic career
After a few years of collaborations in university, since 2020 she worked at the University of the Republic of San Marino as a Researcher. In 2023 she obtained the national scientific qualification in the field 08/C1 - Design and technological design of architecture, and since May 2024 she has held the position of Associate Professor at the University of the Republic of San Marino. Since October 2024 she has been Associate Professor at the Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna.
Teaching activities
Since the Academic Year 2017-2018 she has been continuously engaged in university teaching activities at the Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna in the module of Design Methodologies within the Integrated Laboratory of Industrial Design I and since 2020 at the University of the Republic of San Marino, in the laboratory of Interaction Design. Since 2024 she is co-teacher of the Laboratory of Advanced Design 3b c.i. (Service Design) and the Laboratory of Industrial Design t-ii c.i.
Scientific activities
From 2020 to 2024, she was part of the research unit in “Design for Heritage & Culture” at the University of San Marino participating and coordinating national and international research projects including: “MEET - Multifaceted Experiences for Enhancing Territories” -format of collaborative project for the creation of an interactive exhibition path dedicated to the enhancement and promotion of peculiarities of local material and intangible cultural heritage and “Stretch the Edge. Design driven processes for reactivating small walled towns and inland areas” -research project that was created with the aim of investigating how the discipline of design can be a useful tool for the reactivation, regeneration and enhancement of those territories located in inland areas and enclosed by natural or artificial fortifications-. Since 2024 she has been a member of the Advanced Design Unit (ADU) at the University of Bologna. Author of essays and publications, member of scientific and editorial committees of design journals and series, she has participated in numerous national and international conferences and symposia.
Institutional activities and academic assignments
From October 2020 to September 2024, she is Vice director of the Master's Degree Program in Design at the University of the Studies of the Republic of San Marino.
From December 2020 to September 2024 she is Delegated by the Rector to represent the University of the Republic of San Marino at the assemblies of the Cultural and Creative Industries Clust-ER.
From November 2021 to September 2024 she is Delegate by the Rector for the Orientation Policies of the University of San Marino.
Membership in scientific and editorial committees
Since 2017, she has been a member of the scientific committee of Officina*, a scientific journal in the 08 area.
In 2022 he edits as Editorial Guest (with Alessandra Bosco): Interactions, issue No. 38 of the journal OFFICINA*.
