Silvia Albertazzi

Full Professor of English Literature at the University of Bologna since the year 2000, she was the Director of a PhD Program in World literature and cultural studies. Her research fields are: modern and contemporary literature; postcolonial literature; the relation between literature and photography, comparative literature, world literature and crossover literature. 

She contributes to various magazines and collaborates with many Italian and foreign researchers and research groups. She was a member of the board of directors of COMPALIT (the Italian association of literary theory and comparative literature) until 2019. She is the author of the first Italian book on Postcolonial theory, of the only volume ever appeared on the whole production of Leonard Cohen (Poetry, fiction, songs), of numerous other critical essays, and three collections of poetry.
