- 2013-2024: Lecturer - General, Specialised and Dialogic Interpreting from Italian into
English, Interpreters' School, Forlì
- 2017-2022: Lecturer - Translation from English into Italian and consecutive to and from English at the Scuola di Mediazione Linguistica (Language Mediation school) of Ancona.
- 1994-2011: Teacher – Conference Interpreting
Master in Conference Interpreting Techniques, University of
Westminster, London. Up until this post-graduate course was closed
down, I regularly taught simultaneous and consecutive interpreting
to and from English and Italian and from Spanish into Italian.
- 2001-2003: Teacher – Interpreting
Master in Interpreting and Translation, University of
Westminster, London. In this course, I taught liaison and
consecutive interpreting to and from English and Italian and also
held introductory lessons on simultaneous interpreting.
- 1992-2010: Chief Examiner (English into Italian) for the
Diploma of Translation of the Chartered Institute of Linguists
(UK) for the Italian/English language combination.
- 1992-2018: Examiner (English into Italian) for the
Diploma in Public Service Interpreting of the Chartered Institute
of Linguists (UK) for the Italian/English language combination.
- 1992-2023: Examiner and setter of exams for the Chartered Institute of Linguists (UK) for the Italian/English language combination.
Member of A.I.I.C. (International Association of Conference
Interpreters) since 1996. From 1990 to 2013 I was a member of the
Institute of Translation and Interpreting (UK) and the Chartered
Institute of Linguists (UK).
Presentations
In 2005 and 2006, I presented a report on the management of
emotions during interpretation to the members of the Chartered
Institute of Linguists and to students and teachers of Forlì's
Interpreters School. In 2009, I presented on the various types of
interpreting at the University of Westminster (UK) to aspiring
interpreters.
