Curriculum vitae

Research Fellow at the University of Bologna since 2025, he conducts research in the field of physical anthropology, specialising in dental histology. His primary research interests focus on the reconstruction of the early life history of ancient individuals through integrated analyses of mineralised tissues. His current research examines the variability of dental development timing, as well as dietary and mobility changes, applying high-resolution spatial and temporal approaches that combine histological and biogeochemical techniques on both human and animal samples, from modern and archaeological contexts.

 

Education

  • Master’s Degree in Quaternary, Prehistory, and Archaeology (LM2) from the University of Ferrara.
  • PhD in Cultural and Environmental Heritage (BIOS-03/B, formerly BIO/08) in 2024 from the University of Bologna.

Academic Career

  • 2025 – present: Research Fellow at the University of Bologna in the ERC Synergy Grant LAST NEANDERTHALS project (PI Stefano Benazzi).
  • 2024: Research Fellow at Sapienza University of Rome in the ERC Starting Grant MOTHERS project (PI Alessia Nava).
