The main areas of interest and research include vaccinations, with a focus on safety profiles, the organization of extraordinary campaigns, the management of vaccine hesitancy, and the formulation of appropriate policies.
Additionally, research in the field of infectious disease surveillance is of great interest, involving syndromic surveillance, the "sentinel physicians" system, and the evaluation of underreporting in information flows.
Finally, the promotion of health is also a field of study and work, encompassing health education and the implementation of the national and regional prevention plans, with particular reference to programs PP01 (Health Promoting Schools), PL16 (Vaccinations), and PL20 (Healthy Lifestyles) as well as the cross-cutting program on equity (Gender Medicine and the well-being of the LGBTQIA+ community).
