Graduated in 2003 with a degree in General and Experimental Psychology and obtained a PhD in 2008 in General and Clinical Psychology at the University of Bologna. From 2012 to 2014, he was a permanent researcher, and later an Associate Professor from 2014 to 2024 at the Department of Psychology of the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli (formerly known as the Second University of Naples). Starting in October 2024, he will be an Associate Professor at the University of Bologna, conducting research in the field of general psychology. His research interests focus particularly on chronopsychology, the relationship between sleep and cognitive functions, time perception, and number representation. Currently, his research centers on the relationship between circadian rhythms, sleep timing, sleep perception, and mindfulness.
He is involved in national and international research projects. Author of numerous publications, he also serves as a reviewer and associate editor for various scientific journals.
