Lorenzo graduated with honours (magna cum laude) in Economics at the University of Bologna studying one year abroad law and economics in Dublin at the University College. He completed his Ph.D. in Law at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He is a Professor of Law and Policy at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), School of Governance and Politics. Previously, he was an Associate professor of Law at the National Research University — Higher School of Economics in Moscow; and before an Adjunct professor at the University of Bologna, Department of Management and Business administration.
Lorenzo is a certified public accountant and authorized auditor registered in Italy and the Great Duchy of Luxembourg and a registered chartered arbitrator at the Russian Arbitrator Association (RAA) in Moscow. He regularly advises his clients on matters of corporate law, tax and management strategies and has prepared studies for the Council of Europe on the civil justice reform in Belarus. He is a research fellow of the Center for Public and Corporate Governance Research at the MGIMO.
