PhD student at the University of Bologna since 2023, he carries out his research in the field of biodiversity within protected areas. Research interests are aimed at historical ecology, in particular the dynamics of plant communities and changes in land use over historical time. He currently focuses his research on the resampling of vegetation after decades in Italian national and regional parks.
Training
Graduated in environmental sciences in 2019 and in environmental monitoring and redevelopment in 2021 from the "La Sapienza" university of Rome.
Academic career
In 2022 he won a collaboration grant at the Biome group of the University of Bologna and deals with multi-taxonomic data analysis from a monitoring project of the flora and fauna of the Val d'Agri in Basilicata. In March 2023 he won a PhD from the same research group with a PNRR project within which he created and coordinated the ECODIPA-net (ECOlogical Dynamics of Italian Protect Areas network), a collaborative network for the collection and analysis of vegetation survey data in Italian protected areas.
Teaching activity
As part of the doctorate, lessons are occasionally held on the use of the statistical software R-studio for the analysis of biodiversity data. Continuous supervision of bachelor's and master's theses.
Scientific activity
He has participated in national and international research programs including: ECODIPA-net project (PNRR). EarthBridge Project under the World Environment Day initiative and International Synthesis Project: Collaborative Research in the Giant National Park.
