Senior Researcher at CNR – Institute for the Study of Nanostructured Materials, conducting research in the field of molecular spintronics. My primary research activity focuses on molecular spintronics, particularly investigating the spin/charge correlation at the interface between π-conjugated molecular materials and magnetic layers. In this context, the current focus is on engineering functional interfaces for low-power advanced unconventional electronics in the THz range. The electronic and magnetic properties of the interfaces are investigated through vibrational and electronic spectroscopies (Raman, IR, photoluminescence), synchrotron radiation techniques (XAS, XPS, XMCD), MOKE and magnetoresistance (1T, 77-350K).
Education
Graduated in Physics with honors from the Faculty of Physics at the University of Parma in 1999, and obtained a PhD in Physics in 2004.
Academic career
After few years of postdoctoral research fellowships at CNR-ISMN (2004-2005), she became a temporary researcher in 2006, and transitioned to a permanent research position in 2009.
Scientific career
She is responsible for the Laboratory for Magnetotransport and Optical Characterization and the Vibrational Spectroscopy Microscopy Laboratory. She has participated in numerous national and European research programs, including H2020 Future and Emerging Technologies SINFONIA (2021-2025), H2020 Future and Emerging Technologies INTERFAST (2021-2024), and the Royal Society – Exchange Program: IES\R3\170274 (2018-2019).
She serves as a European expert for evaluating EIC, COST, Chip JU, and SSI projects, and as an external evaluator for projects of the RGC of Hong Kong, CEA, and Cyprus RPF.
She is also a referee for international journals and a member of the Italian Magnetism Association (board member from 2015 to 2018).
