Academic Career
After a few years as a research fellow at the University of Milan (2006-2010) and the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan (2013-2016, 2017), in 2018 she obtained her National Scientific Habilitation for the position of Associate Professor in Theoretical Philosophy, Moral Philosophy, and the History of Philosophy. Since October 1, 2024, she is Associate Professor of Theoretical Philosophy at the University of Bologna, affiliated with the Department of Philosophy.
Teaching Activities
Between 2003 and 2016, she carried out teaching activities at the University of Milan, holding seminar-based workshops. In 2015, she lectured at the PhD School of the FINO Consortium at the University of Pavia.
Currently, she teaches Theoretical Philosophy for the Bachelor's Degree Programme in Anthropology, Religions, and Eastern Civilizations and for the Bachelor's Degree Programme in History. She also teaches Metaphysics in the Master's Degree Programme in Philosophical Sciences and is responsible for a Philosophy Laboratory for the Bachelor's Degree Programme in Philosophy.
Scientific Activities
She has participated in national and international research programs, including: 2004-2006, PRIN: “Some anthropological and psychological developments in the discussion on transcendentalism in early 19th-century Germany: Fries, Beneke, and Herbart”; 2006-2007, PRIN “Idealism and anti-idealism in recent European and American historiography: new interpretative perspectives in a comparison of methods and worldviews”; 2008-2009, PRIN: “The theme of individuality in post-Kantian reflections on the status of the a priori between scientific investigation and philosophical inquiry”; 2013-2018: FIRB FUTURO IN RICERCA “Classic paradigms and theoretical foundations in contemporary research in formal and material ontology.” Acronym: OntoForMat. Duration: 48 months (plus a 12-month extension); 2016-2017: university project “Intentional objects and abstract objects,” Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Milan. Duration: 12 months; 2024: International research project “Sympathie und Solidarität. Max Scheler's Phenomenology of the Social“ (acronym: SympaSoli), composed of a French unit and a German unit (the project is currently under evaluation for funding, Call: 2024 ANR-DFG funding program for Franco-German research projects in the Humanities and Social Sciences).
She has conducted study and research stays in Jena, at the archive of the ThulB library (Thüringer Universitäts und Landesbibliothek). She serves as a referee for several Italian and international journals.
Membership in Scientific and Editorial Committees
She has been a member of the editorial board of the journal “Problemata,” and of the editorial board of the journal “Inkoj. Philosophy & Artificial Languages.” Since 2010, she has been a member of the editorial board of “Discipline Filosofiche” and since 2017 has been part of the editorial board of the “Fenomenologie” book series, directed by E. Franzini and V. Costa for Morcelliana.
