  • ACTUAL POSITION

November 2024 - present: PhD student in the Doctorate course of "Sport, Health and Well-being" at the University of Bologna. The research activity concerns the study of the effects of 5G radiofrequency electromagnetic fields (RF-EMF) in vitro through electrophysiological (patch-clamp and MEA System) and genomics (study of DNA methylation) techniques.

Projects involved: "GOLIAT (5G expOsure, causaL effects, and rIsk perception through citizen engAgemenT) European project" and "5G:SMILE (5G technology: bridging in vitro and in Silico Models to Investigate the interaction mechanisms at cellular Level-PRIN 2022)".

Tutor: Prof. Fiorenza Stagni

  • ACADEMIC CAREER

February 2024 - October 2024: Research fellow for the project "5G:SMILE (5G technology: bridging in vitro and in Silico Models to Investigate the interaction mechanisms at cellular Level-PRIN 2022)", at the Biomedical Physics Laboratory (Department of Physics and Astronomy "Augusto Righi"), University of Bologna. The project aims to investigate the effects of exposure to 5G radio-frequency electromagnetic fields (RF-EMF) on the bioelectric activity of human keratinocytes in vitro by using different investigation techniques: electrophysiological techniques (patch-clamp and MEA System), genomic techniques (study of DNA methylation) and calcium-imaging. Tutor: Prof. Giorgio Aicardi

  • EDUCATION AND TRAINING

June 2023 - January 2024: Graduate student at the Department of Quality of Life Sciences (QUVI), with activities at the Department of Physics and Astronomy "Augusto Righi" (DIFA). Tutor: Prof. Fiorenza Stagni
