Degree in Biological Sciences obtained at the University of
Bologna in 1994, with grade 110 out of 110 with honour (cum laude).
PhD Degree in Cellular and Molecular Biotechnologies obtained at
the University of Bologna in 2000. Speciality Degree in
Microbiology and Virology obtained at the University of Bologna in
2003, with grade 70 out of 70 with honour (cum laude).
Appointment as Researcher in the University of Bologna since
October, 1st, 2001. Affiliation at the Department of Pharmacy and
BioTechnology, University of Bologna.
Since 2001-2002 she has been teaching Microbiology in the
"Applied Pharmaceutical Sciences" Degree Courses (curriculum
Herbalist Techniques and Environmental Toxicology), University of
Bologna. Since 2023-2024 she has been teaching Microbiology Analysis (30 hours laboratory course) in the Specialisation school "Hospital Pharmacy", University of Bologna. She is member of the board of examiners for the
Microbiology courses in “Pharmacy” Degree Course, in
“Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology” Degree Course and in "Pharmaceutical Biotechnology" Degree Course, University of Bologna.
The research activity, performed continuously at the
Microbiology of the University hospital S.Orsola-Malpighi, has
been mainly focused on the study of infections of Parvovirus B19
and Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and has led to the publication
of 52 papers in international scientific journals and
communications presented at National and International
Meetings.
