Curriculum vitae

Research fellow at the Department of Pharmacy and Biotechnology (FaBiT) and a teaching assistant for the Bachelor's degree course in Applied Pharmaceutical Sciences at Alma Mater Studiorum, University of Bologna. She conducts research under the supervision of Dr. Michele Protti at the Toxicological and Pharmaceutical Analysis Group (PTA Lab), coordinated by Professor Laura Mercolini. The focus of her research is the development and validation of instrumental analytical methods applied to complex biological and non-biological samples for pharmaceutical and pharmacotoxicological purposes, with a focus on the design and development of advanced sampling and sample pretreatment protocols. She has experience both in university and business settings in laboratory work in the fields of analytical chemistry, forensic chemistry, and environmental chemistry.

Education

Graduated with a classical high school diploma in 2016. Graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (L-27) in 2020 from the Faculty of Science at the University of Cagliari. Graduated with a Master's degree in Clinical, Forensic, and Sports Chemistry (LM-54) in 2023 from the University of Turin.

Career

After completing her Master's degree, during which she participated as a thesis intern from the University of Turin in the research project Dried Blood Spot analysis as a sustainable and innovative approach for the detection of psychoactive substances and markers of alcohol abuse at the FABLAB (Forensic, Analytical & Bioanalytical Laboratories) of the Regional Anti-Doping Centre “A. Bertinaria,” she began her professional career as an environmental analytical chemist in the private sector, focusing on the determination of semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOCs) in environmental matrices such as water (groundwater, surface and underground waters and wastewater from industrial, domestic, agricultural and zootechnical effluents), soil and air (indoor and outdoor), with gaschromatography (GC-MSMS, GC-FID) analysis.

Currently, she has been a research fellow since October 2024 at the Toxicological and Pharmaceutical Analysis Group (PTA Lab) of the Department of Pharmacy and Biotechnology (FaBiT) at Alma Mater Studiorum, University of Bologna, working on the project Prot. P2022ZWY8H - PRIN-UNO - Prolyl isomerase PIN1 inhibitors: a drug design strategy against aggressive tumors. She also holds the position of teaching assistant for the Bachelor's degree course in Applied Pharmaceutical Sciences at Alma Mater Studiorum.
