Curriculum vitae

Carlo Prevosti was born in Varese in 1978. He graduated from the IULM University of Milan under Professor Gianni Canova, discussing a thesis in the History and Criticism of Cinema on the relationship between reality and fiction in documentary language.

As a documentary author and director, he debuted in 2010 with the films Con le ruote per terra and Sentire il mio passo sul sentiero. In 2011, he co-founded Insolito Cinema s.r.l. where he works as a filmmaker and photographer. In 2013, he was part of the collective that created Capulcu, Voices from Gezi, and in 2017, he won the Italian Competition award at the Festival dei Popoli in Florence with L'Ultima Popstar.

As a film critic, he has contributed to publications such as Duel, Nocturno Cinema, Film Tv, 8 e 1/2, D - La Repubblica delle Donne, and Cinequanon.

He teaches Electoral Strategies, Campaigning, and Political Consulting at the University of Turin and Political Storytelling at the Holden School.

He is a member of Air3, the Italian association of directors.
