Curriculum vitae

Carlo Golini is currently a Ph.D. student at the Department of Physics and Astronomy "Augusto Righi" of the University of Bologna.

His research interests are focused on the applications of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and Magnetic  Resonance Imaging (MRI) relaxometry in the fields of biomedicine and cultural heritage. Specifically, he is interested in developing in situ experimental procedures for acquiring and analyzing multi-parametric NMR data to quantitatively characterize various compartments in biomedical tissues and in materials of interest for cultural heritage.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, which he obtained in 2019, and a first-class Master of Science degree in Physics, which he completed in 2022, both from the University of Bologna.

He conducted a one-year research period in 2023 at the Materials Testing Institute of the University of Stuttgart, Germany.

He was a teaching tutor during the 2023 and 2024 Summer School on Physical Sensing and Processing organised by the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Bologna.

For his research and communication skills he received several awards, including the Three-Minute-Thesis competition at the University of Bologna (2025) and the GIDRM Master Thesis Award (2023).
