Education and titles

  • 2024: Single Cycle Degree/Combined Bachelor and Master in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage (LM/02 - qualifying under Legislative Decree n.42/2004) at University of Bologna, Ravenna Campus, with a thesis project focused on the restoration of a late antique Rimini mosaic, the study of microclimatic parameters, development of a process of risk analysis and design of planned maintenance of the hypogean archaeological site.
    Thesis title: From restoration to preventive conservation: the case study of the polychrome geometric floor mosaic with floral motifs of the archaeological site of Via Sigismondo in Rimini. Cognitive study, risk analysis and planned maintenance.

  • 2018: High school graduation, scientific high school curricular option Cultural Heritage.

Educational experiences

  • 2023: Curricular internship at the CNR-ISSMC in Faenza, Italy. Tutor and scientific co-supervisor: Michele Macchiarola.
    Mining-petrographic characterization of mortar samples and mosaic tiles belonging to the polychrome mosaic with floral motifs from the archaeological site of Via Sigismondo. Analysis of the forms of alteration found by using XRD difractometry, simultaneous thermal ponderal and differential analysis (TGA-DTA) and scanning electron microscope (SEM) analysis. Experimentation of mortar mixes preparatory to the treatment of the gaps and the perimeter containing curb of the mosaic under study.

  • From 2019 to 2023: Student collaboration activities (150 hours) at the Multimedia & Digital Storytelling Frame Lab in Ravenna Campus and at other campus locations.

  • 2023: Participation in the international Summer School Hands-on Science and practice for cultural heritage aimed at developing multidisciplinary research skills and technical knowledge in the field of cultural heritage conservation and restoration in Albania, Apollonia, Shkodra, Tirana. Apollonia Archaeological Park, ASA, UART, UPT, University of Shkodra.

  • 2022: Intern at the mosaic restoration laboratory of the Vatican Museums. Participation in restoration work on the Triclinium Leoniano located in Piazza san Giovanni in Laterano (Rome), routine maintenance work on the mosaics of the Theater of Domitian in the Gardens of Castel Gandolfo, laboratory activities for the preparation of a new support for detached mosaics and packaging of two works of the Museums for the exhibition at Palazzo Braschi Roma Medievale. il volto perduto della città (2022).

  • 2022: Workshop on the conservation of late Roman mosaics organized by the Balkan Heritage Field School at the archaeological site of Stobi (North Macedonia). Restoration of a late Roman mosaic pavement, participation in seminars and insights into the existing mosaic landscape in North Macedonia, and technical lectures on mosaic restoration.
