Ukrainophilism: the professor investigated the birth of the first organizations characterized by this orientation, and in particular the thought of Kostomarov, the first to theorize the existence of a complete Ukrainian nationality, which hopefully should have become the fulcrum of a Pan-Slavic, republican and democratic Federation.
Slavophilism: the teacher deals with the history of nineteenth-century Russian thought, and in particular with the Slavophile current, as well as its different declinations.
History of skiing in Russia/USSR: the teacher studies the genesis of the ski instrument - which turns out to be older than the wheel -, its evolution for hunting and breeding purposes, as well as its subsequent use in the military; His studies focus on the transformation of skiing into a tool of sports leisure; the organization of the first ski clubs in late-tsarist Russia and the first competitions. Dealing with the Soviet era, the professor addressed the theme of sport at the time of the Spartakiady, and then the Soviet beginnings at the Winter Olympics (Cortina '56).
History of railways in Europe: the professor dealt with the European railway system as a whole, the construction of the Trans-Siberian Railway, and in particular the road system of the Habsburg Lombardy-Veneto, the work of the engineers Negrelli, Ghega and Francesconi.
