Keywords: Deep Learning Legal Tech Data Governance Large Language Models AI Compliance

My research focuses on leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) to improve legal accessibility, simplify complex legal frameworks, and promote compliance-by-design and ethical innovation. It addresses the barriers posed by legal jargon and technical language, particularly in digital contexts, by developing methodologies that enhance the clarity and usability of legal texts for non-specialists, including SMEs and NGOs.

Collaborating with the DIKE Research Group at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, my work integrates legal analysis, computational linguistics, and cognitive science to advance digitalization, algorithmic decision-making, and alternative dispute resolution (ADR/ODR). This interdisciplinary approach ensures that LLM-based tools are accurate, contextually relevant, and aligned with EU regulatory and ethical standards.

The research aims to provide practical solutions, such as compliance toolkits and frameworks for legal tech applications, contributing to the EU’s broader objectives of fostering transparency, trust, and inclusivity in AI governance. By bridging the gap between technology and society, my work supports equitable access to justice and the responsible deployment of AI in legal contexts.
