Alessandro Marchesini currently works for iCON Infrastructure LLP and is President of its subsidiary NVA Renewables, which develops, builds and operates renewable energy plants related to solar, wind, biogas and green hydrogen. NVA Renewables' plan is to develop approximately 2.8 GW of renewable energy plants, with 1.5 GW planned to be operational by 2029.
Since March 2025 he has been an independent member of the Board of Directors of Poste Italiane S.p.A.
Since 2024 he is founder and CEO of Alma Corporate Partners, with which he deals in M&A, debt advisory and strategic support in discontinuity situations.
From 2020 he held the position of Head of Corporate and Financial Sponsors Italy at Santander Corporate and Investment Banking in Milan until January 2024, where he led a team of 15 people and managed a portfolio of around 60 large corporates and 20 national and international financial sponsors.
Prior to Santander, he worked at Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, holding various roles of increasing responsibility, including Head of Mid-Corp Coverage and Senior Banker, where he managed global relationships with a portfolio of large corporates in the Rail, Metals&Mining, Capital Goods, Aerospace&Defence and Agrifood sectors.
Previously, he was General Manager at Promotor International S.p.A. and Head of Finance and Project Finance Department at the Municipality of Bologna. He started his career as Senior Economist at Ernst & Young Corporate Finance.
Alessandro holds a degree in Economics from the University of Bologna and a classical high school diploma.
