I was born in Avellino (AV), on 22/12/1997.
Since November 2022 I have been doing my PhD in Health Sciences and Technology at the Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna, with the project "Biomechanical evaluation of knee mechanical behaviour and interface stresses with a new concept of alignment for total knee arthroplasty (NEW-KNEE)", under the supervision of Prof. Luca Cristofolini. The aim of my study is to evaluate the biomechanical effectiveness of kinematic alignment in total knee arthoplasty.
In August/October 2022 I worked as Research Assistant at the "Department of Health Science and Technologies (D-HEST)" of the ETH Zurich (Switzerland) during which I developed an automated method for calculating parameters from medical images.
On 22 July 2022, I obtained my Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering - Biomechanics and Biomaterials, at the Politecnico di Milano, with a computational thesis entitled 'Investigation of muscle co-contraction in hip fracture risk using a finite element sideways fall model', under the supervision of Prof. Pasquale Vena. The project was carried out abroad at the 'Department of Health Science and Technologies (D-HEST)' of the ETH Zurich (Switzerland), under the supervision of Prof. Stephen Ferguson and Dr. Benedikt Helgason.
In September 2019, I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, at the Politecnico di Milano, with a compilative thesis entitled "Ageing of arterial vessels: Critical analysis of the physiological phenomenon for a new research perspective", under the supervision of Prof. Sara Mantero.
