Valentina Rossi is an art historian and curator. She graduated in Art History from DAMS Bologna and earned a PhD from the University of Parma. She is currently a research fellow at the University of Bologna for the
Art in Transition project. She has conducted research at the University of Parma for
Italian Feminist Photography and
Virtual Exhibitions, and held a research grant at CSAC Parma (2022). Since 2012, she has been a curator at Museo MoRE and a board member of
Ricerche di S/Confine since 2013. She has collaborated with CSAC Parma, MACRO, MAXXI, Arcos, MSU Zagreb, and MAMbo. She published
Tate Modern: Pratiche espositive (2019) and co-edited several volumes. In 2024, she curated
Anni Novanta (Postmedia Books). Her work focuses on curatorial practices, fashion studies, museology, photography and digital humanities. She is currently writing a monograph on fashion illustration (Mimesis, 2025)
