Sergio Gilotta is associate professor of business law at the Department of Legal Studies, University in Bologna. His research focuses on corporate law and financial markets regulation.
Education
In 2005 he graduates in law cum laude from the University of Bologna. In 2009 he earns an LL.M. from Harvard and in 2010 he completes his Ph.D. in Corporate and Financial Markets Law at the University of Bologna.
Academic Career
Associate professor of business law at the Department of Legal Studies, University of Bologna. From 2012 to 2024 he was Researcher at the same institution. Previously he was Research Fellow at the University of Florence, Adjunct Professor in international commercial law at the School of Economics of the University of Bologna and Tutor at the "Enrico redenti" post-graduate school of law.
Teaching
Sergio Gilotta teaches business law and financial markets law, in Italian and in English, at the Ravenna and Bologna law faculties.
Research
Sergio Gilotta is the author of two books and of several publications in national and international law reviews in the fields of corporate law and financial markets regulation.
He participated as a speaker or discussant to conferences and seminars in Italy and abroad. He is member of the editorial board of "Giurisprudenza Commerciale" (branch of Bologna) and of the advisory board of the University of Bologna Law Review
