Serena Giacomozzi

Master’s Degree in Animal Biotechnology (March 2024) and Research Fellow at the Department of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Bologna (since July 2024). She conducts research in the fields of Animal Production and Food Safety, with a particular focus on molecular biology and microbiome studies through next-generation sequencing, aiming to promote the sustainability of the dairy supply chain.

She carried out pre- and post-graduate research at the Laboratory of Genetics and Molecular Biology of the Italian Experimental Institute L. Spallanzani, contributing to the PRS project of the Lombardy Region on the role of tannin-integrated feeding in modulating the microbiome and reducing methane emissions in beef cattle.
