Roberto Balestri

I am a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Bologna, specializing in the intersection of artificial intelligence and media studies. My research focuses on the capacity of large language models (LLMs) and AI systems more broadly to comprehend television seriality, with the aim of developing semantic and narrative frameworks for cataloging serial content. In addition to this, I have published works addressing biases in language and image generation within LLMs. I have also contributed to the development and publication of a software tool designed for the automatic generation of film trailers using AI technologies. I am currently affiliated with the Department of the Arts at the University of Bologna, under the supervision of Professor Guglielmo Pescatore.
