My research explores the intersection of technological transformation, labor market dynamics, and industrial structures, with a particular focus on the European context. I have investigated how digitalization and automation are reshaping job structures and work processes, examining phenomena like the routinization and de-routinization of tasks. Through both sectoral and regional analyses, I aim to assess the varied impacts of routine-biased technological change across EU countries. My work also delves into the evolving nature of employment, including the role of atypical employment among migrant workers in manufacturing industries, where I explore institutional segmentation and screening practices. A new strand of my research focuses on green jobs, employing comparative empirical approaches to uncover its implications for industrial dynamics across Europe.
