Pierpaolo Ascari is associate professor in Aesthetics at the Department of Architecture of the University of Bologna. He has taught and carried out research at the University of Bologna and has developed several scientific collaborations with some foreign institutions (ITEM/CNRS of Paris, Institut für Italienische Philologie of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität of Munich, Pontifical Faculty of Educational Sciences Auxilium of the Vatican City). He graduated in Philosophy at the University of Bologna and specialized at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, with a period of study at the École Normale Supérieure in Paris. He worked as a
senior tutor at the Penitentiary University Center of Bologna for students of the Philosophy degree course, coordinates the editorial staff of
