Short Bio

Paolo Macini is Professor at the University of Bologna since 1992. Energy, Environment, Sustainability and Earth Resources, for the future generations are the keywords that better describe his field of expertise. His research and teaching activities are also in Petroleum Engineering and Underground Fluid Mechanics. Academic research covers various aspects of drilling and production engineering, formation evaluation, HSSE of onshore and offshore operations (Oil & Gas Industry), Environmental and subsidence Monitoring, CCUS and Geothermal resources. He has several cooperations with Universities, Research institutes and National Agencies. He authored more than 200 paper and several books and textbooks.

Prof. Paolo Macini receives students during the whole year, both in Bologna and Ravenna Campus; please send an e-mail to make an appointment. During the period with classes, he always receive at the end of each class (http://orario.ing.unibo.it/).

Prof. Paolo Macini receives students also online (via TEAMS). Again, send an e-mail a few days in advance to make an appointment (paolo.macini@unibo.it)

During the periods with no classes, he receives students on Tuesday at 10:30 am (Bologna office), unless he is engaged in research or institutional activities outside Bologna. Please, always contact the professor in advance by e-mail.
