Michelangelo Cocchioni is a PhD student at the University of Bologna, Italy.
Born in Perugia, Italy, in 1998, he graduated in Pharmacy at the University of Perugia in 2023, discussing a thesis on green organic chemistry. Shortly after, he followed an Erasmus+ project for 6 months in Łódź, Poland, where he focused on the synthesis of seleno-functionalized nucleic acids.
His research interests span interdisciplinary fields such as immunotherapy, cancer biology, and nanotechnology approaches for the development of advanced cellular therapies.
His scientific activities include immunomonitoring and implementations of already-existing dendritic-based cellular therapies. Currently, he’s investigating different liposomal nanoparticles for the production of a new therapeutic vaccine.
