Associate Professor at the University of Bologna since 2024, he primarily focuses on vitreoretinal and cataract surgery. His clinical research is centered on studying the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying diseases such as retinal detachment and macular hole. In parallel, his basic research is dedicated to the application of organic photovoltaic materials for the design of artificial retinal prostheses and the development of animal models aimed at identifying new therapies for the treatment of degenerative retinal diseases.
