PhD student of the interdepartmental doctoral course in “Health and Technology” at the Department of Electrical, Electronic, and Information Engineering “Guglielmo Marconi” of the University of Bologna, with Professor Stefano Diciotti as supervisor and Professor Vincenzo Romei as co-supervisor.
Member of the AI for Medicine Research Group.
He received the Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering with Honors in 2022 at the University of Bologna with a thesis carried out at the University of Essex (Colchester, UK), he was research fellowship for a project managed by Telethon and funded by AISA (Associazione Italiana Sindromi Atassiche).
His main research interests concern the application of artificial intelligence techniques in the medical field. Specifically, he works with neuroimaging data and exploits generative models, such as generative adversarial networks (GANs) and diffusion models to generate synthetic datasets, to address the lack of medical data arising from privacy concerns.
