Martina is a PhD student, investigating how architecture can inform neuroscience towards a more conscious user.
Class 2020 of the 40 under 40 lighting designers, Martina has a special interest in the non-visual effects of lighting, and works with the goal of implementing psychological and biological responses to architectural planning. Her research ‘A Beautiful Light’ investigates the use of artificial lighting in support of restorative attention. She started "The Beauty Movement", a think tank to inform and research the power and importance of aesthetic experiences in built environment.
