Animal welfare: identification of ABMs (animal-based measures) to assess welfare conditions at different stages of animal life, such as transport and on farm, in different species, both large and small;

Animal behaviour: detection and study of aspects of animal behaviour such as lateralisation, human-animal interaction and cognitive performance in cloned animals during behavioural testing in different species;

Veterinary physiology: study and comparison of different methods of recording electrocardiographic (ECG) traces in the equine species; study of heart rate variability (or HRV) in the equine species in different contexts, both basal and during behavioural tests, and in relation to behaviour and thermography during chiropractic manipulations.
