Maric/Martin Lorusso (he/they) is a PhD student in the 38th cycle of Psychology and a member of the
Community Psychology Lab. Their research interests focus on the socio-cultural aspects of the experiences of young trans and nonbinary people and their parents. Specifically, t/he/y study the challenges that trans communities face in their life contexts and the strategies they develop to overcome them, adopting an ecological perspective and primarily using qualitative and participatory approaches with a reflexive stance. Currently t/he/y are doing a visiting research period at Washington University in St. Louis, where t/he/y have joined the team at the
Sexuality, Health and Gender (SHAG) Center.
