Maria Laura Gasparini

Researcher in the field of tourism, my main areas of expertise include rural and community tourism development, transnational cultural routes and sustainability monitoring. I have a Master's Degree in Tourism Economics and Management from the University of Bologna and a Bachelor's Degree in Tourism from the Universidad Nacional de Lanús (Argentina). I am a member of the Commission of Experts in Culture of the OEI - Organisation of Ibero-American States and of the Euro-Ibero-American Alumni Network of the Fundación Yuste. As a researcher at the Centre for Advanced Studies on Tourism (CAST) of the University of Bologna, I participated in the management of several European projects related to cultural routes and sustainable tourism. I am currently a PhD candidate in Economic Geography and my research focuses on European Cultural Routes as drivers of local development and transnational cooperation.
