Academic Leadership: Full Professor since 2000, Dean of Computer Science for Management and Chair of Human Data Science. Member of the Academy of Sciences of Bologna. Formerly Coordinator of the PhD in Data Science (2017-18) and Member of the AI Task Force for the Italian Space Agency (2022-24). Visiting Scholar at UCLA (2011-15).

Research & Data Integrity: Focuses on AI Inference and Quantitative analysis of medical data. He developed quantitative methodologies to validate the external representativeness of observational studies, aiming to set new standards for data integrity and transparency in Big Data research.
