Workshop on urban archaeology and geoarchaeology, courses B1744, 27280, and 93014, March 7,14, and 21, 9:30-12:30.
On March 7, 14, and 21, 2025, in Ravenna, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, at the operational center of the Soprintendenza (here), Prof. Enrico Giorgi, Prof. Marco Cavalazzi, and Dr. Michele Abballe (University of Venice - Ca' Foscari), in collaboration with Dr. Sara Morsiani (local Soprintendenza), will conduct a workshop on urban archaeology and geoarchaeology.
As part of the MAPS PRIN project, several urban cores from Ravenna's historic center will be examined. The aim of the workshop is to provide a basic understanding of the practices of analyzing and sampling an archaeological core.
The workshop is open to students enrolled in courses B1744, 27280, and 93014. Limited spots available. To participate, please send an email to the instructor (marco.cavalazzi3@unibo.it).
