Marco Carati

Adjunct Professor at the University of Bologna since the academic year 2021/2022 and Training Development Manager at SACMI Corporate Academy, he has been working for 14 years in the Mechatronics field.

He has got a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Ph.D. in Materials and Chemical Engineering and a Master in Technology Innovation Management.

For 5 years he worked as Mechanical Design Manager at SACMI in the PET injection molding Business Unit (more than 200 machines installed worldwide), designing a new range of machines with a significant improvement in performances.

His research interests include the development of innovative machines, focusing on the environmental sustainability. He spent a research period on the green transition in the energy production at the University of Edinburgh.

He published articles in international journals and presented at conferences. He is co-inventor of an international patent and contributed to the implementation of patents.
