PhD in Design, Research Fellow, her research focuses on the role of the designer in the transition to sustainable and circular uses of materials, particularly in the textile sector. Her research interests are directed at the design practices in the circular economy intertwined with anticipatory and transitional disciplines to understand which new strategies can guide the designer in this process. She is a member of the Advanced Design Unit research group of the Department of Architecture and has a research grant for the development of a cross-sectoral platform for circular and sustainable textiles for the Made in Italy project PNRR - PE11, Made in Italy Circular and Sustainable.
Education
Graduated in Industrial Product Design and with a Master's Degree in Advanced Product Design from the University of Bologna, in 2023 she obtained a PhD in Design.
Teaching activities
She is currently acting as Adjunct professor of Applied Ergonomics for the Degree Course in Industrial Product Design and follows a module in Industrial Design within the Process Design Laboratory for the Master's Degree Course in Advanced Design at the University of Bologna. Since 2019, she has been organizing and coordinating seminars and workshops on his own disciplines, both within the University and internationally and addressed to citizens, particularly on the topics of circular economy and recovery, reuse and upcycling of pre- and post-consumer materials. From 2019 to 2023, she continuously served as a teaching tutor within the Courses in Design at the University of Bologna.
Scientific activity
Member of the Advanced Design Unit research group, collaborates on teaching, research and third mission activities. She has participated in national and international research programmes, including Frontier Design Innovation and traditional cratfs, and collaborated with local companies for consultancy and research. Today she has a research grant on the PNRR - PE11 project, Circular and Sustainable Made in Italy. She was a Visiting PhD Scholar at the École des Arts Décoratifs, Paris Sciences Lettre in Paris from January to June 2022, in the Symbiose group with which she collaborated on projects and research activities.
