FINMA Commercial Law - Policy for students in debt of exam with accrued attendance in the a.y. 2023-2024

This policy is aimed at students in debt of exam, who accrued attendance (also ex officio) in the previous a.y. 2023-2024.

In line with the FINMA regulations, the first full exam is set for 3rd April 2025. However, in agreement with the Course Director and the Program Coordinator, with the awareness that otherwise you would have to wait more than six months before having an available exam, you can take the full exam on 8th January 2025 (this is the same date as the first midterm exam for students who accrue attendance in this academic year, but yours will be a full exam).

As far as the exam program is concerned, should you decide to choose the latter option, it will be the same materials as in a.y. 2023/2024 (you will have to consider the related course on Virtuale, in which you are still enrolled). Since this is not an exam for attending students, unfortunately, the lecture notes will not be sufficient, but they will have to be supplemented with the other materials published on that platform.

Instead, in case you decide to take the exam on 3rd April 2025, the syllabus to which you will necessarily have to refer will be that of the a.y. 2024/2025. To enable you to download the materials, you should be enrolled for the current course. Please note that the syllabi of these two academic years are not exactly overlapping.
