Lorela Mehmeti

She/Her (PhD) is a fellow researcher in Design Cultures at the University of Bologna, where she explores the evolving dynamics of design knowledge cultures and the new ecosystems of scientific production in a globalized world. With a keen interest in open access and research integrity, she examines how these elements shape contemporary academic practices. She is also the Associate Editor of diid.disegno industriale industrial design, an international scientific journal that focuses on design and its industrial applications. Her role at the journal involves overseeing the peer-review process and contributing to discussions on ethical publishing standards. As a Visiting Research Fellow at Knowledge Futures (US), she collaborates on initiatives that promote transparency and innovation in scholarly publishing. Her work is driven by a commitment to enhancing the accessibility and dissemination of design research worldwide.
