Lidia Ceriani is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Bologna and SAIS, Johns Hopkins. Previously, she was an Associate Teaching Professor at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service. She was also an Economist at the World Bank, focusing on Poverty and Equity, and contributed to the 2017 World Development Report. From 2007 to 2012, she taught Public Economics and Principles of Economics at Bocconi University. Her research has been published in international journals, including World Development, Review of Income and Wealth, Journal of Economics, and Journal of Economic Inequality. She holds a Ph.D. in Public Economics from the University of Pavia and a B.A. in Economic and Social Sciences from Bocconi University, where she graduated with honors. Her research interests include poverty and inequality measurement and the impact of public policies on household welfare.
