Lara Mezzapelle

PhD fellow in Sociology and Social Research at the University of Bologna, conducting a multidisciplinary research project that explores art as a means to activate deeper dimensions of awareness and emotional connection with the natural world in response to the environmental crisis of the Anthropocene.

I developed an interest in these research topics through an educational and professional path that combines art, psychopedagogy, and new technologies. After studying Psychology and Fine Arts and gaining years of experience as a new media artist, I co-founded and led the creative direction of startups specializing in interactive art appBooks for children and digital storytelling for cultural and environmental heritage. My projects have received recognition in the fields of art, edutainment, and cultural innovation.
