Senior researcher at the University of Bologna since February 2024, conducting research in the field of Rheumatology. Research interests are particularly focused on inflammatory arthropathies, imaging, and bone metabolism diseases. Currently, the research is centered on the application of interventional radiology procedures in rheumatic diseases and complex regional pain syndrome. Author of numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals, also has an interest in biostatistics and research methodology in rheumatology.
Education
Graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2015 from the University of Pavia, he completed his specialization in Rheumatology in 2020 at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. In 2024, he obtained a PhD from the Department of Rheumatology at the Leiden University Medical Center in the Netherlands. Also in 2024, he earned a second-level Master's degree in "Epidemiological Methodology and Biostatistics for Clinical Research" from the University of Milano-Bicocca.
Academic Career
From December 2022 to December 2023, adjunct professor of Rheumatology at the University of Bologna, and since February 2024, Senior Researcher in the disciplinary sector MED/16 Rheumatology.
Teaching Activity
Since 2022, continuously engaged in teaching activities as the holder of various courses for Bachelor's and Master's degrees at the School of Medicine and Surgery. Currently, he is a lecturer of Rheumatology for the single cycle degree/combined bachelor and master in Medicine and Surgery, the Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy, and the Bachelor's degree in Orthopedic Techniques at the University of Bologna. Since 2022, he has been teaching Rheumatology in the Master's program in "Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Manual Therapy, and Therapeutic Exercise" at the University of Bologna.
Scientific Activity
In 2019, fellow at the Department of Rheumatology at Leiden University Medical Center in the Netherlands, thanks to a clinical research scholarship from EULAR (European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology). Author of over 70 scientific publications in indexed journals. Referee for international journals in the field of Rheumatology.

Since 2024, member of the scientific research committee of the "Italian Society of Osteoporosis, Mineral Metabolism, and Skeletal Diseases."
