Professor Bacchilega earned his degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Bologna in 2000. Subsequently, he completed his residency in Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Therapy at the University of Bologna in 2004. In 2015, he obtained a two-year Level II Master's degree in Health Policies with training purposes for the roles of General Director and Health Director at the Higher School of Health Policies of the University of Bologna. Since 2017, he has been the Director of the Complex Operational Unit of Anesthesia, Resuscitation, and Pain Therapy at Imola Hospital, and since 2020, the Director of the DEA Department.
In the academic field, he is involved in the following teachings:
- Level II Master's in Advanced Endoscopy "Luigi Barbara" for teaching the course titled "Sedation-analgesia and resuscitation in endoscopy."
- Advanced Training Course for Nurses in Digestive Endoscopy for teaching the course titled "Sedation-analgesia and resuscitation in endoscopy."
